2nd Göttingen Workshop on
Kernel Based Methods The workshop will be held at:
Aims and Scope
Kriging, spline interpolation or smoothing, and the support vector machines in machine learning -- all these techniques describe the same approach to the data prediction and are based on positive definite functions, which are called kernels or covariance functions. Higher dimensional kernels play a crucial role in agricultural and life sciences, in particular, in statistical genetics and spatio-temporal modelling. This prospering area is driven by both, new theoretical insight and new fields of application. The goal of this workshop is to bring together scientists and practitioners from agriculture, life sciences and statistics to promote these methods and to improve synergies. Workshop topics include:
Tatyana Krivobokova, Emilio Porcu,
Martin
Schlather and
